Live at Heart Creative Business Music är det nya namnet på den konferensdel som alltid varit en del av Live at Heart. Ämnena är vassare, dagsaktuella och högintressanta. I år kommer bl.a. Olly Bengough – grundaren av Coco, London samt John Phelan – ICMP, Director Genreal.

– Inspirational interview with Olly Bengough, Founder of KOKO, London. Hosted by SVENSK LIVE.
To inspire and engage the Nordic music community by sharing the KOKO journey – its reinvention as a multi-dimensional cultural hub – and explore what a sustainable, creative, and economically viable live scene could look like. How can organizers find and develop new business models? How can we reshape venues and spaces? How can we create new types of audience experiences?

THE FUTURE OF MUSIC PUBLISHING FROM A SCANDINAVIAN PERSPECTIVE
– A fireside discussion with John Phelan, moderated by Niclas Molinder
John Phelan is Director General of ICMP, the global trade body for the music publishing industry. ICMP membership spans the Majors, several thousand Indies & 77 national trade associations across 6 continents. ICMP defends the rights behind approximately 90% of the world’s commercially released music. Hear John speak about the future of music publishing in this fireside discussion, moderated by Niclas Molinder.

Today’s music landscape sees a massive grassroots movement with more self-releasing artists and small indie labels than ever before. However, a significant gap remains to achieve financial sustainability solely through the music.

Can labels & artists survive from their releases alone or is there need for new models to fund a creative output?

This session will discuss today’s pre requisitions and dive into tomorrow’s possibilities to be a thriving independent business or artist.
